A Quiver Tree on a Seapoint rooftop

Barry - The last Knysna Elephant

Barry had an explorer's heart and a 6th sense for a good time. When they started chopping down his home he took to the road and joined a circus. Unfortunately the high life of dancing ladies, bourbon and big tops forced him into early retirement and I found him holding court with the Salvation Army. He now enjoys his retirement re-united with a little piece of the yellow wood forest he used to roam in.

Forgotten Clothing #1

I see abandoned clothing everywhere and this is the first photo in a new series entitled 'Forgotten Clothing'.

The Tree Garden - Tulbagh

Lovely little home style restuarant in Tulbagh literally on the front stoep.  All the greens come fresh from the permaculture garden in the back and the menu is changed daily around this.  Salads are an artfully arranged mess of pepperi rocket leaves, melon, tomato, cucumber and fresh herbs among lots of other interesting bits.  Just how I like a salad.  Other mains include quiche of the day (that day it was butternut, spinach and blue cheese), chicken pie, homemade burgers and gnochi.

The owners run the place by themselves so just relax when you go there and take a browse through various very out of date magazines - GREAT!

It's on your left on the main road as you drive in from the Groot Winterhoek mountain side.
